The successful applicant will join the research team led by Professor Andrew Whitehouse and conduct research that is part of ‘Program 1’ of the Autism Cooperative Research Centre
The successful applicant will play a key role in research seeking to provide earlier and more accurate diagnosis for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and will also have the opportunity to further other research interests related to ASD.
The position is based at the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research (University of Western Australia) in Perth, but research projects are typically conducted across multiple sites in Australia, and the successful applicant will be required to work closely with teams at these sites.
This position requires a highly motivated researcher, who has a PhD in an area relevant to ASD and a passion for making a difference to child health.
Demonstrated knowledge of ASD research and related methodologies is essential, as is a high-level of written (publications) and oral (presentation) communication skills. Ambition to become an independent researcher in the ASD field is also desirable.
