Participants needed for study of sleep and executive function in autism

My name is Rebecca Cosentino and I am currently conducting a study for my honours in psychology with Associate Professor Amanda Richdale (supervisor) from the Olga Tennison Autism Research Centre, La Trobe University.

The research project aims at determining the relationship between sleep, behaviour and executive function in children with high functioning autism, and whether sleep loss/problems impact on executive function.

I am seeking parents who have children aged between 5-9 years of age, who are either typically developing or have been diagnosed with high functioning autism (that is no intellectual disability; an IQ of 70 or above).

Participants (parents) will be asked to complete up to 5 questionnaires related to their child’s sleep, behaviour and executive function. A total time of testing is expected to be up to 40 minutes.

This study has university human ethics approval and Catholic Eduction Office approval.
