Asia Pacific Autism Conference, August 2013, Adelaide

Autism SA in conjunction with the Australian Advisory Board on Autism Spectrum Disorders will host APAC 2013 in Adelaide, South Australia from 8-10 August 2013

True Colours has been adopted as the conference theme, inspiring us to reveal, encourage and support the collective skills, talents and abilities of all of us that are part of the autism community.

Call for abstracts now open

Abstracts are now being called for oral and poster presentations for APAC 2013. The committee seeks a range of proposals covering current and emerging research, clinical and educational practice and the everyday life experiences and achievements of people with autism, families and others in the autism community.

APAC 2013 is anticipated to contribute more than $5.2 million in revenue for South Australia with up to 2,000 delegates from around the world estimated to attend. Hello. My name's Jon Brock. I'm a Research Fellow and Senior Lecturer at the ARC Centre for Cognition and its Disorders and the Departments of Cognitive Science and Psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. My research focuses on cognitive and neural mechanisms involved in developmental disorders including autism, Williams syndrome, and Down syndrome. Publications can be downloaded here.
